Glossary
The core terms you need to understand coin scams and read our inspection results.

- 컨트랙트 주소
- A token's only true identity. Names and symbols can be copied by anyone (dozens of fakes named "USDT"), so only the address distinguishes the real one.
- 옴니체인 토큰 (Omnichain)
- Like AAVE or USDC, one coin existing on several chains, each at a different address. CheckCrypto confirms identity by on-chain cross-verification and listing checks, and groups them on the detail page (risk is still assessed per chain). How we verify →
- 허니팟 (Honeypot)
- A scam token where buys work but sells are blocked in code. The chart may rise, but no one can sell, so money put in is effectively a total loss. Detected with a sell simulation.
- 러그풀 (Rug Pull)
- A fraud where the developer drains the entire liquidity pool. It shows up as liquidity vanishing 90%+ overnight. Draining it slowly is a slow rug.
- 유동성 / LP (Liquidity Pool)
- Funds deposited so the token can be bought and sold on a DEX. When liquidity is small, even a tiny sell collapses the price and makes exiting difficult.
- LP 잠금 (LP Lock)
- Locking liquidity so it cannot be withdrawn for a set period — a rug-pull safeguard. Unlocked = the developer can pull the funds at any time.
- 민팅 (Minting, 추가 발행)
- The owner's power to create unlimited new tokens. Minting and selling dilutes existing holders' value. (For some types, such as stablecoins, this is normal by design.)
- 소유권 포기 (Renounce)
- A state where the developer has given up contract powers, so they can no longer change taxes, mint, and so on. A positive signal — but a fake renounce (a hidden reclaim function) also exists, so we check for it too.
- 프록시 (Proxy)
- An upgradeable structure that lets the code logic change even after deployment. It is a standard used by large projects too, but if abused a healthy token can turn into a honeypot.
- 블랙리스트 / 전송 중지 / 쿨다운
- Mechanisms that let the owner block specific wallets (blacklist), halt all transfers (pause), or force intervals between trades (cooldown) — a conditional sell-blocking risk.
- 거래세 (Buy/Sell Tax)
- The fee taken when buying or selling. An extreme sell tax (50%+) strips away most of what you sell, effectively a honeypot. If "tax is changeable," it can be raised later.
- 홀더 집중
- A state where a few wallets hold most of the supply — a single dump can collapse the price. (Burned and locked amounts are excluded from the calculation.)
- 연쇄 러거 (Serial Deployer)
- A case where a wallet that previously deployed a confirmed scam token deploys a new token — a strong risk signal.
- 심볼 사칭
- A fake contract that borrows a famous coin's name or symbol. Detected by cross-checking against the official address.
- 그린 플래그 (Green Flags)
- Verified positive facts such as renounced ownership, locked LP, and source verification. Shown for reference and not double-counted in the score.
- ☠ 확정 스캠 기록
- A scam confirmed as fact by a court ruling, major reporting, or direct observation. Unlike an estimate (%), it is a record and is shown as 100% regardless of current metrics.
- 미보정 추정치 (Uncalibrated)
- It means there is not yet a guarantee that "70%" is statistically exactly a 70% probability. We label it honestly this way until calibration is verified against real outcome data.
- 데이터 없음 ≠ 안전
- An item we could not measure is "unverified," not "passed." We never count absence as safe — and, conversely, never count it as guilty.
