Privacy Policy

CheckCrypto collects only the minimum information necessary. We do not collect real names or phone numbers; your email is used only as your account ID and for password resets, and is never shown on screen.
1. Information we collect
- Account (optional — on sign-up): ID (email), nickname (public display name), password (stored as a one-way hash only — the original cannot be stored or recovered), sign-up and last-login times. Only the nickname is shown on screen; the email is never exposed.
- Cookies: login session cookie (
cc_session) and an anonymous identifier cookie to prevent duplicate votes (cc_voter). You may refuse cookies in your browser settings, but login and voting will be limited. - Access logs: access IP and pages viewed (for service operation statistics and to prevent spam / automated abuse). Page-view records are automatically deleted after 90 days.
- Content you post: board posts and comments, scam reports, Watchtower watch registrations (token address, alert topic name), and API key usage (call counts).
2. Purposes of use
- Service provision (login, sending password-reset email, Watchtower alerts, board, API)
- Service protection (blocking spam / brute-force / abuse, traffic statistics)
- Compliance with legal obligations
3. Retention periods
- Account information: until you request account deletion (request via the contact below)
- Page views (including IP): automatically deleted after 90 days
- Posts: until you request deletion or moderation removes them
4. Processing consignment & overseas transfer
The service runs on the infrastructure below, and in the process access information may pass through or be stored on those providers' servers.
- Amazon Web Services (server hosting — Sydney, Australia region)
- Cloudflare (CDN / security — global edge)
5. Advertising (board area)
When advertising (Google AdSense) is served in the board area, Google may use advertising cookies to show ads based on your interests. You can turn off personalized ads in Google Ads Settings. We do not serve advertising on token inspection results or detail pages (neutrality principle for the verdict screen).
6. Provision to third parties
Except for requests required by law, we do not sell or provide the collected information to third parties.
7. Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your information (including account deletion) via the contact below, and we will process it without delay.
8. Notice of changes
If this policy changes, we will post it on this page along with the effective date.
